Taylor Swift‘s first Eras Tour show in Milan, Italy, was crashed by a bug!
During her concert at the San Siro Stadium over the weekend, the 34-year-old singer started coughing after swallowing her third official bug on The Eras Tour during her surprise mashup of “I Almost Do” and “The Moment I Knew.”
The bug-swallowing incident was captured on video and has been circulating on X (formerly Twitter). In the clip, Swift sings and plays the piano before suddenly coughing and clutching her throat.
“I swallowed another bug,” she said in a gravelly voice after inhaling the insect. “I knew it would happen ’cause there are so many bugs here tonight.”
“It’ll be fine, I just need to cough a little,” she added before continuing on with the show, similar to how she did when she previously swallowed bugs at Era Tours shows in London this June and in Chicago last June.
Fans have pointed out that Swift also performed “The Moment I Knew” as a surprise song when she swallowed a bug in Chicago at Soldier Field. At the time of swallowing her first Eras Tour insect, Swift said, “Oh delicious… Oh, God. Is there any chance that none of you saw that? It’s fine. I swallowed it.”
She continued, “So I’m just gonna try not to do as many of those. This is gonna happen again, there’s so many bugs. There’s a thousand of them. Anyway, this has been fun.”
During her second insect incident, Swift coughed and admitted to 89,000 concertgoers at London’s Wembley Stadium, “I swallowed a bug, can you sing?” After her momentary setback, Swift continued her performance of her 10-minute version of “All Too Well.”
Despite the bugs, Swift seemed to really enjoy her concerts in Milan.
“WOW. MILAN. Those were truly 2 of my favorite crowds ever,” Swift posted on Instagram on Monday. “The passion and generosity you showed us… it was a dream come true to perform for you. Grazi mille!! We’ll be back!!🫶.”
Swift is headed to Germany this week, where she’ll play in Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg and Munich through the end of July.
The European leg of Swift’s blockbuster Eras Tour continues this summer before it will wrap with a return to London’s Wembley Stadium for an eye-popping five-night stint in August and eventually on Dec. 8 at BC Arena in Vancouver, Canada.
Swift already performed a trio of star-studded shows in London last month, which included an on-stage appearance from her boyfriend, Travis Kelce.
