Patrick Mahomes knows how big he wants his family to be.
During a Tuesday press conference, the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback said that he and his pregnant wife, Brittany Mahomes, will be “done” having kids after the arrival of their third child. The couple, who tied the knot in 2022, are already parents to 3-year-old daughter Sterling and a 1-year-old son Bronze.
“I’m done, I’ll say that. I said three and I’m done,” the 28-year-old NFL pro, who won the Best NFL Player award at the 2024 ESPYs, said. “It’s awesome. I always wanted to have kids young. I got to grow up in a locker room… and it made such an impact in my life.”
“We’re having our third kid now to join our family. Brittany does a great job of doing that and we still go out and enjoy our life and let our kids see these great things,” Patrick continued, perhaps alluding to his family’s summer trip to Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, London and Amsterdam.
He added, “It is really cool ’cause I spend so much time in the building, at football, for these seven, eight months. Whenever I’m with my family, I want to enjoy those moments.”
The Mahomes’ announced their third baby on the way earlier this month, sharing a sweet video of their family dancing and running around with Brittany’s sonogram.
“Round three, here we come,” Brittany captioned the clip.
Brittany later shared photos of her whole family, alongside which she wrote, “Family of 5 coming soon🥹 blessings on blessings🙏🏻🤍.”
During their family’s recent European getaway, Patrick and Brittany were spotted enjoying the third night of Taylor Swift‘s Eras Tour concert in Amsterdam, joining Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce for his girlfriend’s show.
At one point, Brittany even checked on Travis, 34, when he seemed to tear up over Taylor’s medley of love songs that appeared to be about him.
It was something of a full-circle moment for the two couples, as Patrick invited Travis to his first Taylor, 34, concert back in July 2023, which jump-started their relationship.
