Getting everything set up takes a bit of work, but shows how powerful Apple’s built-in Shortcuts are. First, you’ll choose from one of three image categories.

Astronomy will showcase pictures from the popular Astronomy Picture of the Day site. Nature will offer wallpapers from around the world. The final choice is NASA’s Image of the day that features rockets, space, astronauts, and more.

If you’re having a hard time choosing, you can see some of the latest wallpapers for each option. And as a nice choice, you can switch categories at any time.

After that, you’ll go through the process of setting up the Shortcut. The app provides detailed instructions on how to get started. The entire process took me a little less than 2 minutes.

Once that’s complete, the wallpaper will be refreshed each day at a time you choose.

Using the app’s lock screen widget, you can also quickly access more information about the background.

Daily Wallpaper is a free download now on the App Store. It’s for the iPhone and all iPad models.

I always enjoy seeing beautiful wallpaper on my lock screen and home screen, but I often don’t spend the time to find new images. Daily Wallpaper is perfect to do all of the work for you.
