SPAM Korean BBQ flavor is hitting shelves soon!

SPAM has done it again! Just when you thought your favorite canned ham couldn’t get any more…creative… the company has come out with a whole new twist!

The 12th permanent flavor, SPAM Korean BBQ, is now available exclusively in-store and online at Walmart.com for $3.98.

The complex flavor promises to be a balance of sweet and spicy. It features a blend of soy sauce, garlic, ginger, paprika and sesame with a kick of spice from gochujang paste (a Korean fermented red chili paste).

If you’re wondering why the brand chose this unique flavor, it turns out SPAM products have been popular with Korean customers since the Korean War. It’s even been integrated into their traditional dishes like Buda Jigae (army stew).

SPAM hopes you sizzle this new offering up on the grill and serve it over rice or on a bun with kimchi slaw. The brand has even provided fans with directions to create a meal of their own. If you’re feeling courageous, give it a try!
