Get ready for the FREE 2024 Verizon backpack giveaway!
On Sunday, July 28th at 1PM local time and while supplies last, head into a participating Verizon Wireless Zone or TCC store where you may be able to snag a FREE backpack for your kiddo.
Each backpack will contain school supplies like pencils, paper, a pencil box, folders, a ruler, and glue. There is a limit of one backpack per child and your child must be present to receive it.
This year, there are over 1,000 locations participating, and they plan to give away a total of 120,000 backpacks. Backpacks are typically claimed very quickly, so if you are interested in snagging one, plan to arrive early!
To find the closest participating store, visit the TCC and Wireless Zone websites and select the “Find a Backpack Giveaway Near You” filter.
This year, 10 lucky students will also be “Golden Ruler” winners when they receive one of 10 random backpacks at 10 random stores across the country that contain a golden ruler keychain. The 10 winners will score a $100 VISA gift card to purchase school supplies and $1,000 for their school (in the form of a $1,000 Amazon Wishlist buyout!). Awesome!
Hip Tip from reader Jenn: If you can’t get to one of these giveaways, check Facebook for back to school events. I have three huge ones in my area, one of which had 30k (yes, 30 THOUSAND) backpacks to give away with hygiene items and a few school supplies. A quick search shows a bunch more for the next couple weekends. May not be able to get everything needed, but it’s a good start!
Get ready for their big first day with more hot deals on school supplies!
