Coverage of the eighth hole, known as the ‘Postage Stamp’ from The Open at Royal Troon

Royal Troon is home to one of the most famous holes in world golf, with live coverage from the ‘Postage Stamp’ available throughout The 152nd Open via Sky Sports’ free live stream.

The par-three eighth measures just 123 yards and can even play as little as 99 yards, weather permitting, making it the shortest hole in Open history but one of the most recognisable on the roster.

World No 1 Scottie Scheffler has high praise for Royal Troon’s ‘Postage Stamp’ and believes short par-threes are always best

The official course guide issued ahead of the tournament describes it as a hole that “can strike fear into the heart of even the best golfers” and “if players were offered four pars at the start of the week, most would take it”.

It is challenging because of the small size of the putting surface, the deep bunkers protecting it and the unusual headwind that makes club selection extremely difficult, with the short par-three a potential card wrecker for those in action.

Sir Nick Faldo’s bunker masterclass leaves everyone stunned as the three-time Open champion hits all sorts of shots!

You can follow players’ progress on the tough par-three throughout the week via the R&A’s Par-3 channel, providing dedicated coverage of the Postage Stamp, with that stream available each day – for free – on the Sky Sports website and Sky Sports app.

Postage Stamp coverage will begin as soon as the first group out on the course reaches the par-three, expected to be around 8.30am over the first two days and a little later over the weekend, with the feed available until every group has played the hole.
