Peacock Unleashes The Day of the Jackal Trailer: Eddie Redmayne Takes Aim!

The wait is almost over! The Day of the Jackal is coming! A new official trailer just dropped, and we couldn’t be more pumped!

With Slow Horses Season 4 having just closed the books, we won’t have to wait much longer for something to fill that void.

From the trailer, it’s clear this series will be an edge-of-your-seat thrill ride — but would you expect anything less from such a classic tale?

A Classic Tale, Reimagined for Today’s World

Day of the Jackal is based on Frederick Forsyth’s 1971 bestselling novel, which was adapted into the iconic 1973 film starring Edward Fox.

However, Peacock’s take isn’t just a rehash. This version updates the action for today’s chaotic geopolitical landscape.

Eddie Redmayne (Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them franchise) plays the Jackal, a master assassin who is as elusive as he is lethal.

But he’s up against Bianca, a determined British Intelligence officer played by Lashana Lynch, who’s hot on his trail — even as her superiors dismiss her pursuit as a wild goose chase.

What unfolds is a high-stakes game across Europe, a deadly dance of cat and mouse where every move is fraught with danger, and the tension never lets up.

If the trailer is any indication, these two are set to leave a trail of chaos in their wake, just as any great spy thriller should.

Joining Redmayne and Lynch is a solid supporting cast, including Ursula Corbero (Money Heist), Charles Dance (Game of Thrones), and Richard Dormer (Fortitude), each adding their own touch to this thrilling action drama.

The first five episodes will drop on November 14, giving fans plenty to delve into immediately. It’ll be a bingworthy treat, for sure!

After that, weekly episodes will keep the suspense building until the double-episode finale on December 12.

Check out the trailer below, and get ready — The Day of the Jackal will be one wild ride!
