A big plus is the app’s intelligent grouping that will group articles that over the same story to help you save time reading. There are three different algorithms to select from and you can also change the articles similarity threshold to tweak it to different news sources.
All stories are presented automatically in reader mode to strip away any distractions on the page.
If you don’t want to spend time reading a long article, the app uses AI to provide a shorter summary. You can choose from one of three types of summaries.
To help you focus on what you want to read, there is even a words blacklist feature that allows you to specify specific words that might appear in headlines. Those articles will be grouped at the bottom of the list.
NewsNinja is a free download on the App Store now. It’s for the iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Vision Pro.
You’ll need a subscription to use the article summarization feature. That’s available for $0.79 per week or $1.99 monthly.
