Kravitz’s musical journey began in his childhood, influenced by his eclectic family background. His mother, actress Roxie Roker, and his father, producer Sy Kravitz, exposed him to a wide range of music and culture. Lenny developed an interest in playing instruments early on, learning drums, guitar, and piano.
He moved to Los Angeles in the mid-1980s, where he pursued a career in music. Kravitz initially struggled to find success but eventually landed a recording deal with Virgin Records. His 1989 debut album Let Love Rule garnered attention, establishing him as a unique artist blending rock, funk, and soul.
Lenny Kravitz will also be a headliner at the BeachLife Festival before heading to Las Vegas in late summer. That event includes performances from Jackson Browne, Alanis Morissette, Pretenders, the Beach Boys, Train, and Sublime. The BeachLife Festival takes place in early May and held in Redondo Beach, California.
