The end of Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann‘s marriage may officially come in just a matter of months.
After more than a year of an off-and-on divorce between the longtime reality TV couple, a trial date for Zolciak and Biermann’s divorce has been set.
According to court documents obtained by ET, a two-day trial has been set for November 5 — which is mere days before what would have been their 13th wedding anniversary. They tied the knot on November 11, 2011, nearly 12 years before they both filed for divorce in May 2023. Though they filed to dismiss the case in July of that year, Biermann filed for divorce again a month later.
However, according to documents signed on July 11, the two have also been referred to mediation and ordered to complete it by September 25. If an agreement is not reached at mediation, the documents state, the case “will remain assigned to this division of Court for all pending and future motions, hearings, and trial calendars.”
Per a third document recently filed pertaining to the exes’ case, Zolciak will withdraw her pending motion for protective order against Biermann as both parties have agreed to a Consent Confidentiality Order.
This update on the case comes a month after they reached an agreement with Truist Bank, which delayed the foreclosure of their Georgia home. According to court documents obtained by ET, foreclosure was halted for 90 days, per the agreement, giving the two time to sell the home on their own. However, the bank may begin foreclosure proceedings if they’re unable to sell it and pay the bank back within that time period.
Earlier this year, as her divorce loomed, the mom of six reflected on the struggles she faced as a young mom with her firstborn, daughter Brielle.
“You changed my world at the tender age of 18! I wouldn’t have it any other way 🙏🏻 We grew up together, we had some high highs and some low lows!” she wrote on Instagram for Brielle’s 27th birthday. “Forever grateful for WIC, Section 8, my family, my nursing instructors and most importantly God. Without all of these I truly don’t know how we could have done it. I remember driving home from work at 11pm (after school all day and work all night) picking you up and driving home that dreaded 45 min drive ….thinking how the hell are we going to get through tomorrow. We did! We did it and we will continue too!!”
