Kevin Jonas isn’t shying away from his awkward late-night moment. The eldest member of the Jonas Brothers appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday where host Fallon brought up a past encounter.
“How could I forget?” Kevin quipped, before Fallon showed footage of the 2023 exchange, or lack thereof.
“There was a moment where you thought I was going in for a handshake and everyone loved your reaction to it,” Fallon said.
“The best part about that thing is I’m here doing all this and so excited to be here again…. [then] disappointment,” Kevin said, laughing off the moment. “But, you know, it’s OK. It happens. We’re awkward guys.”
In the clip, Kevin goes in for a handshake after Fallon shakes his younger brother, Nick Jonas‘, hand, only for the late-night host to then step away without shaking his hand.
Fallon pointed out that despite the viral moment, he later shook Kevin’s hand.
“I would never leave a Jonas Brother hanging,” Fallon insisted.
“It happens to the best of us. Me more than most, but it’s fine,” Kevin joked.
Kevin is getting ready to return to his show, Claim to Fame, with his youngest brother, Franklin Jonas, as his brother, Joe Jonas, prepares to release a new solo album later this year.
