Jennifer Lopez Has ‘Bridgerton’-Themed Birthday Party Without Ben Affleck

Jennifer Lopez had a party fit for royalty and had her closest family and friends by her side!

On Saturday, the Atlas actress hosted a Bridgerton-themed party in the Hamptons. In photos obtained by multiple outlets, the festive gathering was on theme with an appearance of a horse-drawn carriage, lavish furniture that was driven onto the property and multiple orders of flowers.

On hand for the occasion was Lopez’s mother, Guadalupe Rodríguez, who appeared to be dressed on theme in a blue dress with ruffled details and matching blue shoes. Walking alongside Rodríguez was another guest  — who wore a similar dress — and a male guest who held a gift and dressed like one of the gentlemen from the Shonda Rhimes period drama.

Not pictured was Lopez, who officially marks her birthday on July 24 — or her children, 16-year-old twins, Max and Emme. Also missing from the occasion was her husband, Ben Affleck, who was spotted in Los Angeles with his children over the weekend. Affleck’s children, Violet, 18, and Seraphina, 15, and son Samuel, 12, were also not seen at the venue.

While a picture of her attire wasn’t taken, Lopez took to Instagram to send some good pre-party vibes to her followers.

“Today is gonna be a great day 🤍🙏🏼 Happy Saturday everybody ☀️,” the “Love Don’t Cost A Thing” singer captioned the post that included a series of smiling selfies.

Affleck, 52, and Lopez recently marked another milestone apart. Last week, the pair marked the two-year anniversary of their first ceremony in Las Vegas on different coasts

Lopez was spotted riding a bike and cruising in the car with her longtime manager and friend, Benny Medina. For his part, Affleck was spotted in a black suit and sporting his wedding ring as he made his way into his office in Los Angeles.

Aug. 20 will mark the two-year anniversary of Bennifer’s second, and more lavish, wedding ceremony held in Georgia. The milestones come amid speculation that there is trouble in paradise for Lopez and Affleck. Amid their extended time apart — which included the “This Is Me…Now” singer’s solo vacation to Europe and Affleck’s summer alone in Los Angles — the pair have also listed their $68 million marital home in Beverly Hills.

Still, a source recently told ET that the couple “are trying to make this transition as easy as possible and be gentle on their children. They don’t want to make things more upsetting than they already have been.”

One child in particular who may be affected by the news of a split is Violet, who has recently spent time with Lopez, sans her father, in the Hamptons. According to the source, J.Lo and Violet “have gotten close throughout Jen and Ben’s relationship, and maintaining that closeness is important to everyone.”

“Ben certainly doesn’t want to cause any strain between Jen and Violet, and he is in support of them spending time together,” the source said. “It’s a little tricky for him, but both Jen and Ben want all their kids to be happy, regardless of the issues they are facing in their marriage.”
