Celebrity-Loved Teams Manchester United and Arsenal Set to Face Off at SoFi Stadium in California

Manchester United, with fans including Julia Roberts, Orlando Bloom, Conor McGregor, Harry Styles and Justin Timberlake, is set to play Arsenal, supported by Rihanna, Charlize Theron, Gywneth Paltrow, Demi Moore, and Kevin Costner, on Saturday, July 27 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

The 300-acre sports and entertainment destination — which is home of the Los Angeles Chargers and the Super Bowl LVI Champion Los Angeles Rams and seats approximately 70,000, expandable up to 100,000 — will kick off the United States Rivals in Red Tour.

The game will be a rematch of last summer’s match, where Manchester United defeated Arsenal 2-0 in front of a sold-out crowd at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. 

“Our plans for pre-season are taking great shape. Playing against two strong teams in great stadiums in front of so many of our supporters will provide Mikel and the squad with a strong test and great experience ahead of the new season,” Edu, Arsenal Sporting Director, said in a press release.

“We know how great SoFi Stadium is after our sold-out match there last year. The facilities are incredible and we’re excited to return,” he added. 
 
“We had an incredible time during last year’s visit to the US and we are pleased to be returning with the men’s team to prepare for the 2024/25 season,” John Murtough, Manchester United’s Football Director, shared. 

“The popularity of English football is continuously growing in the US, and we’ve come to expect passionate and enthusiastic support from our US fan base. They didn’t disappoint last year and everyone at the club is looking forward to reconnecting with those fans again this summer,” he continued.
