Blake Lively is onto her husband, Ryan Reynolds’, tricks! The 36-year-old It Ends With Us star reposted a video of 47-year-old Reynolds at a Deadpool & Wolverine event, where he brought a little dog onto the stage.
“SOS He’s trying to get me pregnant again,” Lively warned on her Instagram Story. “Put the dog that you find adorable in spite of societal k9 expectations away and take off the damn teal suit! Rude.”
In the clip, Reynolds introduced “Peggy,” also known by the nicknames “Mary Puppins” and “Dogpool” to the crowd at the fan event.
“She won ugliest dog in Britain, but we’re not telling her that because she is a 10 in our hearts, isn’t she?” Reynolds said in the clip, cradling and snuggling with the pup. “And that tongue, by the way, is real. And I have tasted it.”
Peggy’s tongue habitually hung out of her mouth as she posed for pics with Reynolds and his co-star, Hugh Jackman.
“This dog went through more training than Hugh Jackman did in the gym this morning,” Reynolds quipped. “And we love her very, very much, yes we do.”
Reynolds teased that Peggy might have a cameo of sorts in the upcoming anti-hero action film.
“This is Peggy. AKA: Mary Puppins. Alias: @dogpool. Avoid petting her too vigorously. You’ll see why in a couple weeks. #DeadpoolAndWolverine ⚔️” he captioned the clip on Instagram.
Lively and Reynolds already share four children together — daughters James, 9, Inez, 7, Betty, 4, and a fourth child, born in 2023, who has not been named.
For her part, Lively is preparing for the release of the highly anticipated film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s It Ends With Us. The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants alum will be playing the lead role of Lily Bloom in the movie, which is based off the bestselling book.
“Some people will always like a book better than a movie and some people like a movie better than the book, but I think that we just did our best to honor the book and honor the fans, and, I think, really make something that works even by itself,” Lively told ET at Book Bonanza last month.
It Ends With Us will hit theaters Aug. 9, while Deadpool & Wolverine comes out July 26.
