The most anticipated holiday of December has finally arrived! (Kidding — maybe.)
Bath & Body Works‘ Candle Day has kicked off its 13th year — and the retailer is giving its loyalty members an early holiday gift: first dibs on the annual event before everyone else.
The retailer’s most anticipated sale gives shoppers the lowest price of the year on its popular 3-wick candles — just $9.95. (They’re normally $26.95 so you get 63% off!) That’s less than 10 bucks for the joy of up to 45 hours of deliciously rich, room-filling fragrance and flickering candlelight to set the coziest vibes. You can add up to 24 of these 3-wick candles to your cart at this sale price throughout the entire weekend — and early-access shoppers can use the code CANDLEDAY at checkout to score the deal on Friday.
The Bath & Body Works Candle Day sale officially opens to the general public on Saturday, Dec. 7 at 6 a.m. EST and continues through Sunday, Dec. 8. But if you’re a My Bath & Body Works Rewards member, you’ll get early access a whole day before — starting on Friday, Dec. 6.
This member loyalty perk lets you shop the full assortment of more than 150 candles — in stores and online — through your My Bath & Body Works account. If you’re not already a member, there’s still time to sign up. And best of all, it’s totally FREE.
When you head over to the Bath & Body Works site to shop Candle Day, you may need to hang out in a digital queue for a little bit. Candle Day is a big deal, so sometimes us candle enthusiasts just have to wait our turn so we don’t break the internet! I waited about an hour the last time I checked early Friday afternoon, so go grab a coffee or a snack and get comfy — but keep an eye on the site because your spot will only be held for 10 minutes once they let you in! (Pro tip: Turn your speakers up because the site will play a little chime when it’s your turn.)
Alternatively, you can head into your local Bath & Body Works store and stand in a real line instead. Just be advised that BOPIS is not available for the duration of the Candle Day event, so your only options this weekend are in-person shopping or ship-to-home from the website.
The Candle Day sale is the perfect time to shop decadent wintry fragrances that’ll set the vibe for your upcoming holiday parties. It’s also essential for stocking up on all of your favorite scents for the rest of the year, and it comes just in time for you to score awesome gifts for everyone on your list, too. (Because who wouldn’t want to unwrap their favorite scent in the form of a 3-wick candle this holiday?) From fresh spring scents to juicy summer fruits to cozy autumn aromas, they’re all on sale now.
There are also a ton of scents that are new for Candle Day 2024, including fragrances inspired by some of your favorite Netflix series as well as reimagined classics. Here’s some of what’s new this Candle Day:
The limited-edition “Emily in Paris” scents — Paris Amour, Lavender Luxe, Champagne in Paris and Macaron Cloud — are also still available. And there is a small selection of online exclusives: Balsam Firewood, Lavender Vanilla, White Eucalyptus & Sage, Fresh Sheets and Hot Buttered Rum.
Everything’s only in stock while supplies last, of course, and these babies are liable to go fast — so get in there ASAP!
Who can resist the allure of a fresh-baked, sticky-sweet cinnamon roll? Anyone who enters your home will be immediately transported to cozy mornings full of mouthwatering treats thanks to this candle’s notes of warm ground spice and vanilla frosting. Reviewers say it’s reminiscent of the Pumpkin Cinnamon Bun scent of the past — so if you liked that one, you’ll love this.
If you skipped out on the fresh Christmas tree this year, this candle will more than make up for that forest fragrance you’ve been missing — and without the mess of dropped pine needles! It has notes of frozen eucalyptus and fresh balsam that mingle with the subtly sweet pine scent for a fresh, invigorating fragrance.
This brand new scent from the Bath & Body Works With Bridgerton collection is a nod to the beloved Netflix series, and it smells so good that it’s no wonder it’s deserving of the Queen’s most coveted title. It features notes of sparkling peach, radiant jasmine and spring daffodil to evoke a lightly fruity, floral scent that will be perfect for welcoming spring (if you can wait that long to burn it).
A personal favorite, this fresh and lightly sweet scent is perfect year-round, despite the fact that it’s designed to welcome autumn. Its notes of sage and eucalyptus bring a freshness — like clean, crisp, woodsy air — while juniper berry lends a sweetness that keeps you coming back for more.
If you’re looking for a holiday scent that doesn’t lean towards the typical Christmas trees or Christmas cookies, this slightly smokey, slightly spicy scent should be right up your alley. It boasts notes of cinnamon, spiced clove and a crackling fireplace, with just a hint of sweetness to keep it as warm and inviting as a cozy Christmas cabin.
For those who like to keep their scents sweet and simple, Vanilla Bean is a classic — hands down. Between the Madagascar vanilla bean, warm cinnamon and nutmeg, and the scent of homemade marshmallows, it would be incredibly difficult to find someone who doesn’t instantly love this scent. (So hint, hint: it’s perfect for gifting!)
If you’re ready to transport yourself to warm summer days, Pink Pineapple Sunrise is the sweet and sunny pick for you. It smells like juicy tropical fruits and palm sugar, so you’ll feel like you’re sunbathing on a hot island in the middle of nowhere — even if, in reality, you’re bundled up on the couch because it’s snowing in the middle of January.
Not to be confused with the Christmas tree-esque aroma of Iced Winter Balsam, Tree Farm brings another layer to that pine-fresh experience. With its added hints of crisp apple, it evokes a stroll through a Christmas tree farm while sipping a nice, warm cup of apple cider.
