Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney Sued by Former Something About Her Sandwich Shop Chef

Ariana Madix has been sued for the second time this week, and this time one of her besties, Katie Maloney, is also a named defendant over an alleged deal gone south involving the reality TV stars’ sandwich shop, Something About Her.

According to court documents obtained by ET, chef Penny Davidi is suing the Vanderpump Rules stars after claiming they didn’t hold up on their end of the bargain on a deal she claims called for her to have 10 percent ownership of the West Hollywood, California, sandwich shop.

Davidi claims Madix, 39, and Maloney, 37, would retain 90 percent ownership provided that they promoted the business venture, while she oversaw and supervised the culinary and restaurant operations as chief operating officer and director of culinary. In her court documents filed Thursday in Los Angeles County Superior Court, Davidi states the deal — purportedly struck in June 2023 — called for her to be paid $7,500 per month until Jan. 2024, “at which point the rate would increase to $10,000 per month.”

The chef claims she “performed substantial work, engaged in substantial activity, and undertook substantial tasks” in her role as COO and director of culinary. It’s unclear what exactly happened (the lawsuit doesn’t explicitly say), but Davidi claims Madix and Maloney “repudiated” — or backed out — of the deal, and now Davidi’s suing to get a judge to make them honor the deal.

This is the second lawsuit Madix faced this week. On Tuesday, Tom Sandoval sued Madix claiming she gained access to explicit videos of him and Rachel Leviss on his cell phone without his permission. He also claimed Madix went as far as making copies of the video and shared it with “Leviss and third parties.”

The video Madix found on Sandoval’s phone — while watching him and his band perform at TomTom in Los Angeles and documented in the explosive season 10 finale of Vanderpump Rules — uncovered his affair with Leviss, which torpedoed his near decade-long relationship with Madix. The saga quickly became known as “Scandoval.”

But just two days after filing his lawsuit, Sandoval stated on Instagram that he’s withdrawing it. The 40-year-old claimed he was told by his counsel that his cross-complaint was procedural and that “the words ‘new lawsuit’ or ‘suing’ were not articulated” to him.

He added, “I should’ve done more of my due diligence on the matter. Upon realizing what this action actually means, I have removed Matt Geragos from my legal team. In no way am I suing Ariana. The action against Riana brought on my behalf is being removed. I hold no ill will or vindictiveness toward Ariana.”

Sandoval signed off by stating, “I hope to get through this case quickly, so that Ariana and I can both finally MOVE ON with our lives.”
